Event: University of Sheffield – SpLD Event for Y11 Pupils and Above

Wednesday 6th March, 6pm-7:45pm

Do you know about the help the University of Sheffield can offer your students with Special Educational Needs? If they are thinking about progressing to HE, we have a team of professionals and trained student Disability Champions who can explain what support they can access at university and how to set this up. These events are relevant for applicants to any university, not just those thinking of attending the University of Sheffield.

At university, students who have impairments that can make it difficult to do study-related tasks such as sitting exams, attending classes, reading, planning and writing assignments or taking notes are likely to be entitled to support. They will provide information about types of support available and information from current students about how this support has ensured that they get all the help they need to succeed at their studies.

This session is aimed at students with a specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia, and their parents or carers.

They can also provide a session tailored to your particular requirements to be held either at your school or at the University of Sheffield.
