The Hepp targeted and sustained offer will focus on year 7 to year 9, with research highlighting key stage 3 as a pivotal stage for outreach, where we can equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to pursue aspirational and appropriate future pathways.
We have developed the HeppHUB to be the home of our universal offer for all schools; housing bespoke resources for teachers and advisers to use in the classroom, a searchable database of local outreach opportunities, plus CPD resources and events to develop your own knowledge of higher education.
Our targeted and sustained programmes will engage with learners on multiple occasions throughout key stage 3, with our partners Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield offering provision for schools in key stage 4 and key stage 5.

Future Forged is a sustained, multiple intervention programme which runs from year 7 through to year 9. Consisting of five engagements across the three-year programme, Future Forged aims to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and confidence to enable them to make informed decisions about their future educational progression.
We can work with up to 15 schools on this programme and will prioritise schools using free school meals (FSM) data and TUNDRA data:
Sessions will be delivered in school, and take the form of interactive, seminar style workshops. All our workshops have been developed to be fun and engaging, embedding interactive activities to promote learning by doing. Our workshops are framed around tackling the key barriers young people face in relation to higher education progression and decision making. Our workshops have skills development embedded within them – focusing on transferrable skills derived from the Skills Builder Universal Framework: Planning, Problem Solving and Speaking.
In addition to the five in-school sessions that make up the core Future Forged programme, all participating schools can bring up to 50 of their learners to attend a campus experience day in year 8.
Our campus experience days are a great way for your learners to experience what it looks and feels like to be a further or higher education student. The theme of these experience days is fit and belonging in further and higher education. These events will take place at Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Sheffield and Barnsley College University Centre.
