Introducing Women in Maths 2026
This is a dedicated opportunity to inspire young women and highlight the creativity, curiosity and real world impact of studying mathematics. This on campus experience is designed to broaden understanding, build confidence and showcase the diverse pathways a maths education can open.
What to expect:
▪️ Hands on Mathematical Modelling workshop exploring how mathematicians help us understand and predict disease transmission
▪️ Cryptography session demonstrating how mathematical thinking underpins codes, puzzles and digital security
▪️ Graduate insights, where recent Maths alumni share their university experiences and the careers their degree has led them into
Mathematics continues to play a vital role in shaping the world around us, from public health to technology, data, finance and beyond. This event aims to show young women just how impactful, creative and wide ranging a future in maths can be.
