A FREE virtual session to provide information to all supporters of students who have a disability. This event is for school staff, local authorities, and 3rd party organisations (not just SENDCo’s).
This session will cover:
- What is a disability
- How all staff can support disabled students
- Disabled student support.
- Disabled Student Allowance (DSA).
- The words/expressions used in higher education and how it is different to school.
- Resources available to support disabled students.

Parent, Carer, Student – Supporting every step: For students, parents, and carers of disabled learners

A FREE virtual session to provide an opportunity for parents, carers and students to:
- find out about the support offered at institutions for disabled students.
- have the opportunity to speak to current disabled students who are studying at a higher education institution.
- hear how important it is to disclose at an early stage to receive the correct support.
- an opportunity to receive important up-to-date information on the disability support provided to enable young people to fulfil their aspirations.

A FREE virtual session delivered by Student Finance England to explain how student finance works for higher education. It is a session that will provide up to date information for parents, carers and supporters to find out more and to answer any questions you have.
We will give you the facts on:
- how much money students can receive as a loan or non-repayable bursary/ scholarship
- the extra financial support they may be eligible for
- repayments
- and explain how finance isn’t a barrier to higher education.

A FREE virtual session to help understand the financial support available to a disabled student at higher education. This session will provide information on:
- what Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) is.
- what forms you need to complete and how to do that.
- the support provided for disabled students at higher education institutions.
- take part in a Q & A session with current disabled students
- find out why it is important to start the DSA process early to make sure all the support is in place for when the individual starts their higher education journey.
