Event: RVC Summer School (Year 10)
Thursday 5th August - Friday 6th August
To participate in this activity you must attend a state school and meet a number of other Widening Participation eligibility criteria such as being the first in the family to go to university, being eligible for Free School Meals, or living in an area with low progression rates to higher education.
The two-day Year 10 Summer School usually takes place at their Camden and Hawkshead campuses for students currently in Year 10, however it was run online for 2020 due to the pandemic and is likely to look slightly different again in 2021. As well as taking part in online lectures, practical demonstrations and Q&A with our world-leading researchers, they aim for every student to come to campus for hands-on experiences in our animal hospitals, Clinical Skills Centre, labs or farm. You’ll get the chance to meet current RVC students, other young people with a passion for animals and professionals working in a range of animal science careers. Work together to solve veterinary case studies, reflect on your career goals and how to achieve them and enjoy student social activities!
Please note, the following expenses are covered: Food and drinks whilst on campus, transport to one of the campuses, all equipment and activities.
