Event: Talks with Tutors: Taster Subject Lectures
Multiple dates
Magdalen College is proud to begin a series of virtual lectures delivered by their academic tutors for state school students in their 7 link areas. These aim to give school students a taster of what studying a particular subject may be like at university level.
Talks are dependent on the availability of tutors and more events will be added as the term goes on so please keep checking their webpage. Currently available for sign ups are the following talks:
- 18th February – 3:30pm – 4:30pm – Prof of Biochemistry, Rob Gilbert – For A level Students – “Evolutionarily conserved mechanisms in infection immunity”
- 23rd February- 3:30pm – 4:30pm – Prof of Economics, Jennifer Castle- For Y9-Y11- “Can Economists Forecast Crashes”
Students can sign up individually or teachers can sign up a whole class. If you have filled the sign up form on behalf of your class, students will NOT need to sign up individually and we will contact the organiser separately to obtain the names of students.
If you would like to sign up for multiple events you will need to fill in the form for each event. Please ensure students are from the suggested age groups.
