The University of Sheffield are pleased to announce the Sheffield School Physicist of the Year Awards, proudly sponsored by the Ogden Trust. Celebrate the talent of exceptional physics students from your school by submitting your nomination now.

Across the UK, 25 School Physicist of the Year events take place annually, with more than 600 students recognised for their achievement and effort in physics.

The event is open to Year 10 and Year 6, all award winners will receive a prize and a certificate. We are now inviting teachers to select one student they wish to nominate from either or both year groups.

To recommend a student for an award please complete the form using the link above. Once we have received your nomination we will contact you with a formal notification of the award and invitation to the awards ceremony to pass on to your chosen student.

The deadline for nominating students is Friday 29th April 2022. We will celebrate the winners at a special awards ceremony at the University of Sheffield on the 18th May from 5pm. Winners and their families will be invited for a fun evening of physics, a complimentary buffet and awards presentation by the Head of Physics and Astronomy.
