Festival of Prose SHU Literary Salon

Event: Festival of Prose SHU Literary Salon

Thursday 15th August, 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Join Sheffield Hallam University for a lively, free event celebrating stories!

They’re delighted to welcome Sharna Jackson to our children’s literary series celebrating summer, stories, and reading.

Sharna will read from her debut children’s series, High-Rise Mysteries, talk about writing for children, creating characters, answer reader and guest questions, as well as sign books.

The readings will be followed by engaging discussion chaired by Women’s Prize Longlistee and Sheffield Hallam University Lecturer, Yvonne Battle-Felton

The event is perfect for middle-grade readers (and their chaperones), older and younger readers (and their chaperones) who enjoy reading middle-grade books, and writers interested in writing for children.

Sponsored by Sheffield Hallam University’s Hallam Guild and supported by Sheffeld Hallam University Department of Humanities and Maxine Greaves, the event is free and open to all.

Please order tickets via Eventbrite, for both children and adults as they will be providing free light refreshments.
