Families Working Together

Event: Families Working Together

Friday 24th January - Sunday 26th January

‘Families Working Together’ Residential at Wentworth Castle, South Yorkshire’s only grade 1 listed historic building with 500 acres of landscape.

Using the grounds and the buildings they will carry out a range of interactive, informal, learning activities, such as team building tasks, quizzes and games. They offer the family some dedicated time and space away from the home setting, expose them to the beauty and heritage of The Northern College and help them to grow their feeling of self-worth.

They aim to develop team working skills and the understanding of how they can be applied in family life.

Their purpose is to help build individual confidence, introduce adults onto further courses and progress them closer to employment or volunteering work, thus leading to a more resilient family unit.

They will consider all families who would benefit from this provision and who are in receipt of any work related benefit.
