Event: Festival of Mathematics

4th & 5th July 2022

Sheffield Hallam University will be hosting the IMA Festival of Mathematics and its Applications on 4th and 5th July 2022.

The festival is a free two-day event which celebrates mathematics and all the wonderful things you can do with it.

School groups will be able to visit the festival across both days and take part in workshops, talks and other activities, and explore Sheffield Hallam University, as we showcase how amazing maths is, and the wealth of applications it has in the modern world.

The Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) is the professional body and learned society for qualified and practising mathematicians and exists to support the advancement of mathematical knowledge and its applications and to promote and enhance mathematical culture with over 5,000 members, comprising of mathematicians from all sectors, as well as those with an interest in mathematics.
