‘Life as a Student’ – a session with Hollie Street (General Manager – Unite Students Sheffield), Luke van der Kooij (Regional Student Support Manager – Unite Students) and a Unite Students Resident Ambassador on what life is really like as a student. We cover what student accommodation provides, support resources and living as a student.

They explore what a Students’ Union can do and the services they can provide, as well as representing the union after graduation. They discuss their own journeys to HE and experiences of Students Unions and how it made them feel a part of the community.

Join Anna Campbell, the Activities and Development Officer, and Lily Byrne, the SU President, from the University of Sheffield Students’ Union to explore the benefits of a Students Union and the opportunities that they can provide. Students Unions aim to make students feel a part of the community whilst at University and can add so much more to a students’ Higher Education overall experience. The session covers elements such as the clubs and societies available, the services Students Unions can provide, employment opportunities and the events they run for students as well as much more!
